On Wednesday 21st November year six were invited to some taster lessons at Oasis Academy, Lordshill.
We played a geography game that simulated the struggle for survival that people might experience if they had to evacuate due to flooding. It was difficult to prioritise what possessions to take and how to cope when items needed to be lost, used or shared out.
In science we learnt how to test liquids for trace elements of different metals. We did this by dipping a piece of wire in the liquid and holding it in the flame. If it went a certain colour we knew what it was. These metals are used to make fireworks.
