Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
Every child at Sinclair has the right to high quality teaching that will enable them to reach for and beyond their potential. Our children will become confident learners who have a desire to realise their aspirations. Our children will develop a passion for learning and its infinite possibilities in a nurturing, safe and loving School.
At Sinclair Primary and Nursery School we actively promote fundamental British Values within our curriculum. This forms part of our SMSC ethos and it is woven throughout our teaching and learning, in particular through PSHE.

Sinclair Primary is a school for boys and girls aged 4 – 11 years and have our own outstanding nursery onsite, Sinclair Nursery. where the whole staff community focus on improving outcomes for all children in the widest possible sense. We place our children at the centre of everything we do and we constantly ‘aim for outstanding’ in every area.
“Leadership and management are outstanding and a very clear vision of continuous school improvement, shared by all staff, has been established. This has resulted in the rapid and impressive improvement in outcomes for pupils.” – Ofsted
We have developed a skills based curriculum in order to excite and engage the children in their learning. We are committed to enriching the curriculum – theme days and weeks are a feature of school life, as are visits by theatre groups and professional artists and musicians. We regularly visit places of interest both within and outside the local area. The children have wide access to music, with music throughout the school. We offer an ensemble, drumming academy, music tech mix club and choir for all to join. The school believes in offering a wide range of extra- curricular clubs, led by specialists and school staff.
“Pupils’ behaviour is outstanding both in and out of lessons.” – Ofsted
We have a large and friendly high performing staff team and we are committed to ongoing staff development. We are linked to a National Support School, our Executive Headteacher is a National Leader of Education and our staff regularly support other schools. She also works as a supporting Headteacher and Ofsted Inspector and is well supported by a strong staff including a Head of School.
