E-cadets blog

Sinclair's E-cadets helped to promote Safer Internet Day with an assembly all about the thought provoking theme for this year. This year the theme is: Inspiring change? Making a difference, managing influence and navigating change online.

Together with a helpful script the children explored with years 3 - 6, how people interact with the internet and some key areas for thought to be followed up in class. Topics covered included cyberbullying, viruses, phishing, chats, information and messaging on social media, fake news. The children were also encouraged to think about future technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, the presence of deepfakes and what challenges might come up in the metaverse (virtual cyberspace).

It was wonderful to see our E-cadets being Architects of a Better World through educating their peers and improving the chances that others will make positive and safe choices about their online behaviour. They did a fantastic job!
