We had a lovely day celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III on Friday. We had a whole school assembly first thing to explain the coronation and what it means. Children then took part in a variety of Coronation themed activities throughout the day whilst dressed in red, white and blue to signify the colours of the Union Jack.

We enjoyed a lovely 'street party' picnic together as a whole school where we listened to themed music and displayed some of the decorations that we had made throughout the morning! We have now created a lasting display in the library to capture the coronation and the different roles the king has. We aim to sustain the children's thinking beyond this weekend and are looking forward to continuing our thoughts throughout the rest of this year and beyond.
