Year 2’s Marvellous Start to the Year!

Year 2 have had a truly marvellous start to the school year! We have been diving into George’s Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl and even had a go at making our very own potions to make Grandma nice.

As part of our work, we’ve been exploring verbs and adverbs to help us create exciting instructions for our recipes, which we will be writing later this half term. We’ve also been thinking carefully about adjectives to describe the different nouns we added to our potions.

The children had a fantastic time experimenting with their ideas and have already started writing some amazing pieces. What a wonderful way to begin our learning journey this year!
