Outdoor Learning:
The rain certainly couldn’t dampen our spirits as we proudly celebrated the grand opening of Sinclair’s new outdoor learning area!
This exciting new outdoor space will be used by children across the school throughout the week, as well as during their Outdoor Woodland Wellbeing Learning sessions on Enrichment Days. The area has been created to encourage wellbeing, outdoor learning and a love of nature, giving children the opportunity to explore and learn in a calm and inspiring environment.
We were honoured to be joined by his Right Worshipful Mayor and 4th Lord Mayor of Southampton Councillor James Baillie and Satvir Kaur Labour MP for Southampton Test at the official opening.
After a speech from Mr Walker, the Eco Team confidently took over, delivering their own speech before proudly cutting the ribbon to officially open the area. Everyone then had the opportunity to explore the new space and celebrate all the hard work that has gone into creating such a fantastic environment for our school community.
Parents and children enjoyed exploring the recent planting and taking part in a range of activities including pebble painting, planting sunflowers, bug hunting and making stick friends. There was also a tombola which helped add to the wonderful atmosphere of the afternoon.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the project and helped make the event such a success. We are excited to see the children continue to learn, grow and flourish in this amazing new outdoor area.
