Year 6 blog:

After a very good night’s sleep (especially for the first night), the children enjoyed a delicious breakfast which included bacon, sausages, egg and a range of cereals and fruits. Fully charged, we made our way down to the beach and searched for local wildlife: crabs, shrimps and a range of other marine life. As an extra we visited the RNLI office  and had a talk from the volunteers there about the role they fulfilled.

In the afternoon, the River Torridge was our destination and rafts were the vehicle. After a short discussion on how to row we quickly made our way to the centre of the river and enjoyed a range of games (the best of which included jumping into the river).

To finish our day, we enjoyed dinner before a scavenger hunt back at Skern Lodge.
