Year 2 blog
Oh, what a magical day it has been here at Sinclair, Today, Year 2 got a golden letter– well, not really gold, more like festive red and green – inviting them to join the hardworking, the lazy, and the oh-so-clumsy elves, in preparing for the most wonderful time of the year!
Firstly, there was a trail of snow that led the children to the elves' workshop. It sparkled like a million tiny diamonds, guiding their way to the heart of the North Pole magic. They followed it with wide-eyed wonder, like little adventurers on a snowy quest.
Once they arrived, they were greeted by us, the elves, in all their holiday glory. The hard working elf, a tiny go-getter of festive productivity, was busy wrapping presents faster than you can say "Jingle Bells." The children admired the dedication as she scurried around, creating a sea of beautifully wrapped gifts ready to bring joy to children around the world.
Meanwhile, the lazy elf, decided it was the perfect time for a nap. Right in front of the roaring log fire, no less!
And then there's the clumsy elf, who managed to create a bit of chaos by accidentally knocking over the Christmas tree. Tinsel and ornaments scattered like confetti, and then she managed to get wrapped up in tape.
Year Two couldn't help but feel the true magic of Christmas in our workshop.
Here's to more adventures, more mishaps, and, of course, more joy as we countdown to the most magical night of the year!
This was the perfect 'hook' for Year 2 into their latest writing topic: 'Writing an Elf Diary from the perspective of an Elf working at the most magical workshop in the world!'
