Library blog:
Today, Year 1 and Year 5 had the wonderful opportunity to visit Lordshill Library, a fantastic resource that we are fortunate to have right on our doorstep. The children were excited to explore the vast array of books available, discovering new stories and topics that sparked their imaginations.
As they looked through the shelves, many students shared their thoughts about their favourite genres and authors, fostering a lively atmosphere of curiosity and enthusiasm for reading. The highlight of the visit was when the librarian gathered everyone for a captivating story session. The students listened intently, completely engrossed in the tale being shared, which brought the words on the page to life.
This experience not only allowed the children to appreciate the joy of reading but also emphasised the importance of our local library as a community resource. We feel incredibly grateful for the chance to engage with such a rich environment that promotes literacy and a love for books. We look forward to many more visits in the future!
