Year 2 Phonics:

Today in Year 2, we got creative after reading The Skydive, where Hem bravely skydives for charity! 

Inspired by the story, the children designed and made their own parachute people, thinking carefully about how a parachute works to slow a fall. We tested our creations and explored which designs floated gently and which dropped a little too quickly!

This hands-on activity helped us link our reading to science, design, and problem-solving while having lots of fun experimenting and improving our ideas. A fantastic way to bring our story to life!
