Year 5 blog:

In RE, we have been learning all about justice and how a court of law works. We explored what fairness means, how decisions are made, and why rules and laws are important in society. We linked this learning to our Global Goals work, where we learned about Ruby Bridges and her fight to receive an education in 1960s USA. The children were fascinated to learn how brave Ruby was and how the law played a part in protecting her right to go to school. This helped us understand that justice is not just something we talk about in lessons, but something that can change people’s lives and make the world a fairer place.
