Our Reading Ambassadors Phoebe and Sienna were thrilled to receive a letter from 10 Downing Street this week, from the Communications Team at the Prime Minister's Office!

Phoebe and Sienna wrote to the Prime Minister to ask his thoughts around supporting initiatives to promote reading for pleasure. They also asked him about the closure of local libraries and his thoughts about ensuring all primary schools have an in school library. Currently, 1 in 7 primary schools do not have a dedicated library space.

Their letter has been passed to the Department for Education and we are hoping to hear a response soon. We are also delighted to announce that Satvir Kaur, our MP for Southampton Test will be visiting our partnership in February, to meet our Reading Ambassadors for a Q and A around all things reading and libraries!

Our Reading Ambassadors are fine examples of our pupils living our mission to become "Architects of a Better World" - we are very proud of how proactive they have been in their role to promote reading for pleasure, not just to children in our school, but to the wider community too. Well done Reading Ambassadors!
