What a hectic and exciting first 24 hours we’ve had with our ducklings in Year 2!

After one little duckling hatched very quickly, things really got going on Tuesday afternoon when two more rapidly made their way out of their eggs. Before heading home, Miss White carefully moved our three fluffy hatchlings into the brooder box to keep them warm and safe. There was still one egg beginning to pip, so we knew more surprises were on the way!

When we arrived the next morning, we were amazed to discover that two more ducklings had hatched overnight. That meant that in less than 24 hours of having the eggs, we had five beautiful ducklings!

They are now all settled in the brooder box, getting used to their new life in Year 2. We can’t wait to continue watching them grow, fluff up, and develop their little personalities. Stay tuned for more updates (and names coming soon)!
