Year 4 blog:
n November, the Year Fours were lucky enough to go to Calshot Activity Centre where they got to take part in a fun-filled day of exhilarating and engaging experiences.
The three groups of children got to have a try at skiing down dry slopes, where they had to ensure they balanced well as they slid downhill. They also used their observational skills for archery, practising assembling arrows into their bows and shooting for the target – some even got a bullseye! The children also challenged themselves to rock climbing up different walls, some even reaching the top, several times!
As well as this, they were thrilled to get to try out a team building activity, where they were harnessed to a swing in pairs, and the rest of the children pulled them up higher and higher with a rope, before letting go and letting their team mates feel like they were climbing through the sky – how brave!
