OWWL is Back: Exploring Nature
Our first OWWL session of the year saw us heading outdoors to explore Global Goal 15: Life on Land. We began with a nature scavenger hunt, looking closely at the plants, wildlife and natural features around us.
We then went on a nature walk to see what had changed since our last OWWL session before the holidays, and wow, what a difference the summer had made! The warm weather has certainly helped our garden grow. Our sunflowers had become enormous, the lettuces were huge and our chilli plant had completely gone wild!
As well as enjoying seeing how much everything had grown, our walk gave us an opportunity to think about the continuous care and provision our outdoor spaces need throughout the year. We discussed what plants need to survive and thrive and began thinking about how we can care for and develop our OWWL area over the coming term.
