Reading Ambassadors:
Our Reading Ambassadors at Sinclair are responsible for promoting reading for pleasure amongst their peers and across the school.
This week, they have been running their Blue Peter Book Club, using the books promoted on CBBC's Blue Peter, reading to our younger pupils and running linked activities. Michael the Sausage Dog (part of last year's Blue Peter recommendations) is still a firm favourite at Sinclair, and our new ambassadors decided to read this story to their peers in the library.
Don't forget, all pupils can apply to wear a Blue Peter Book Club badge to wear in school! You can find out more information HERE. Did you know that pupils from Sinclair were featured on Blue Peter last year, as part of a special episode to promote reading for pleasure?
Our Reading Ambassadors have also been very busy at lunchtime supporting Miss White to create a display for Black History Month, during October. We have many books in school that have been written by Black authors and illustrators, which we will be showcasing in the library as part of a special display. Reading Ambassadors will also launch Black History Month with a special assembly - watch this space!
