This week in RE, Year 1 have been learning all about the Christian story of Creation. We began by exploring what the word creation means and discussed how it describes something that has been made or brought into existence. We learnt that Christians believe God created the world and that everything in our wonderful world is special and important.

We listened carefully to the Christian creation story and discovered how God created different parts of the world over seven days. The children enjoyed remembering what God created on each day and talking about the amazing world around us.

To show our understanding, each child chose one of the seven days and drew a picture of what God created on that day. We were so impressed with the children's thoughtful ideas and beautiful illustrations!

It has been a wonderful start to our RE learning, and we are looking forward to exploring more about Christianity and what Christians believe.
