Year 6 Devon Adventure:
Day 2
Our first full day opened with a delicious breakfast with a range of items from a full English and various cereals.
This breakfast was certainly welcomed as we headed straight out onto the High Ropes activity. Precision balancing and nerves of steel were needed as the children ascended a range of different climbs. The children conquered many fears as they took the leap of faith, clambered the ropes and demonstrated great teamwork as they attempted the challenge of Jacob’s ladder. It was fantastic to see everyone give this their best effort and challenge themselves.
Following lunch, we headed out on our Seashore trail. Observation skills were paramount as we searched for different crabs in the various rock pools. We also explored the village of Appledore with its picturesque houses and quaint streets.
Dinner came with four choices this evening: sweet and sour chicken, nachos with five bean chilli, vegan chicken and mushroom pie or vegetable gnocchi. Tomorrow we are looking forward to climbing/abseiling and surfing.
