Year 2 blog:
Elves in Training!
Year 2 had a truly magical start to the day when they were greeted by a very special letter from Santa himself! He wrote to ask for their help in the North Pole workshops-Christmas is nearly here, and the elves are busier than ever.
With a sprinkle of magic, Year 2 were whisked straight to the North Pole! At Santa’s workshop, they discovered exactly how the elves work in the exciting lead-up to Christmas. There was so much to see!
In one corner, Hardworking Elf was busily putting toys together with incredible speed and care. Nearby, Sleepy Elf was snoring softly, curled up beside the cosy warm fire, perhaps too cosy, as the fireplace seemed to make Sleepy even sleepier! Meanwhile, Clumsy Elf was causing chaos as usual, managing to get herself wrapped up in tape and ribbon before slipping over in a tangle of bows!
Year 2 were delighted to be joined for the morning by the merry trio:
Jolly Jingle Boots the Hardworking Elf, Snowy Sleepy Snorey Elf and Cheeky Clumsy Elf
The children loved learning about what each elf does to get ready for Christmas, and the workshop was filled with giggles, excitement, and plenty of festive cheer.
Now that they’ve seen how the elves spend their day, Year 2 will be writing their very own diary entries in the style of hardworking, cheeky, and lazy elves. We can’t wait to see what magical writing they create!
